Chemistry is the study of the properties, the composition and structure of matter, the transformation of substances, and their corresponding energy changes. As a basic knowledge, chemistry is essential for students of biology, physic, geology,. engineering, biotechnology and many other subjects.
This programme is designed to increase students' theoretical knowledge and application of chemistry, and help them in developing various practical skills through experimental and instrumental techniques.
It covers the traditional sub-discipline of organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry. The programme aims to allow students to understand, analyse, practice and evaluate the knowledge and laboratory skills of a range of chemistry topics. It provides string training in practical methods, data analysis and problem solving related to chemistry.
