This research degree may be undertaken in any of the School of Science’s principal research areas and strengths. You must complete a 50,000 to 70,000-word theses as part of the program.
The work undertaken for this degree must constitute a significant contribution to the knowledge and understanding of a field of study of direct concern to the school and demonstrate your capacity to carry out independent research.
The Master of Science (Research) may be undertaken in the School of Science’s principal areas of research, including:

To apply for the Master of Science (Research) program, you must have completed a degree with honours 1 (first-class) or 2A (upper second class) in a relevant research area.
