Overview

The curriculum of the MSU diploma programme in design and animation has the specific needs of a professional game designer/developer in mind. It will equip you with the fundamentals of games art, animation, and development besides skills in storyboarding, graphic layout, digital imaging, and internet programming. You will learn the game development cycle of pitching game ideas, writing game design documents, creating concept art, developing the design technicals, modelling, coding, texturing, and animating, also testing and marketing your game. Your lecturers are industry professionals, and the learning opportunities and experiences we provide you will add depth and breadth to your understanding and develop both your vocational and life skills. An internship at the end of your studies ensures that you graduate industry-ready for a career in games design and animation.

Entry Requirements

You need at least THREE (3) Credits at SPM/SPMV level and a Pass in Pendidikan Seni (Arts Education) or Lukisan Kejuruteraan (Engineering Drawing) OR a PTPL Computer Science Certificate OR an equivalent qualification recognized by MSU Senate. Candidates who did not take SPM-level Pendidikan Seni (Arts Education) or Lukisan Kejuruteraan (Engineering Drawing) must pass MSU’s interview/drawing test/portfolio evaluation
