Campus Information

Heriot-Watt University's campus in Malaysia is built on a 4.8-acre site on a lakeside location within close distance to the Putrajaya marina and its modern leisure and sports facilities. As part of Putrajaya Lake’s ‘green continuum,’ the campus features an impressive stretch of living grass roof, lighting ‘powered’ by the maximum use of natural daylight, a rainwater harvesting system as well as optimised air-conditioning and thermal control systems.

To create an optimum learning and living environment for students, the 'green campus' is well-equipped with a range of facilities, including meeting rooms, common rooms, a two-storey library, quiet study zones, group study and discussion areas, eateries and retail outlets. Students can also benefit from various support services, such as Careers Advisory Service, Counselling, IT support, the International Student Support Office (ISSO) and Student Service Centre.

Located just 40 kilometres from Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur, the campus has easy access to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (about 20 minutes away) and the main rail link, which offers a 30-minutes ride to and fro central Kuala Lumpur. Free shuttle bus services is also provided for easy transportation between Putrajaya Sentral, the campus and student accommodation.
