Overview of Master of Law (International Law) in International Islamic University of Malaysia Malaysia
This programme is designed to provide participants with in-depth knowledge of international law that responds to increasing challenges and complexity in the international legal order in the era of globalization. One notable impact of such a development is that international law has become increasingly detailed and specific. Matters that it deals with include disputes, security, cyber space, state jurisdictions and conflict of laws, international trade, and immigration, to name but a few. In order to expose the participants to this broad spectrum of international issues, they can choose to specialize in any one of three areas of international law by following its ‘specialization courses’ in addition to the requisite core courses. These areas of specialization are Human Rights & Humanitarian Law, International Trade Law, and Maritime Law.
