Taylor’s University Admission Process

Admissions at Taylor's University is a hassle-free process. To complete the admission, students need to submit downloaded, completed and signed application forms along with the required documents. International students seeking to study at Taylor's University are advised to apply well in advance, to take admissions in their desired month of intake. After the application and documents submission, the admission team will send the letter of acceptance, if selected.

General entry requirements for both UG and PG courses:

  • Completed application form
  • 6 passport-size photos
  • 3 sets of certified passport copy
  • 3 sets of all academic transcripts from high school/ senior secondary levels and completion certificates
  • UG degree or diploma degree with 2 years of work experience (graduate applicants)
  • Health examination form
  • Taylor’s U Residence form with a reservation fee of USD 750.
  • Test to study in Malaysia- TOEFLIELTS/ PTE/ Cambridge C1 or C2/ CAEL.
  • Other program-specific requirements.

The admissions for most of the programs at Taylor's University take place in 2 intakes: March and August. Some programs intake students in October and July as well.

Visa Process for International Students

The university applies for the visa approval letter on the student's behalf through the Education Malaysia Global Services after sending an acceptance letter to the students with respect to the specific course or program that they have applied to. The visa process in Malaysia takes about 6-8 weeks.

Below are the mandatory requirements of visa application in Malaysia:

  • Copies of passport-sized photograph
  • Three copies of the passport (all pages)
  • Copy of the offer letter
  • Receipt of Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) fees and application processing fees
  • Pre-medical Examination report
  • Candidates must download the Visa Approval Letter (VAL) from the official website of ‘Education Malaysia’.
  • Fill in the form and submit it by the stipulated date.
  • Malaysian Immigration Department checks all the documents and approves the VAL.

Taylor’s University ranked 17th in the world for the Hospitality and Leisure Management subject in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023, defending its position as the highest-ranked Malaysian university in the world for the sixth time in a row.

This places the institution alongside institutions renowned in the hospitality sector such as Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Swiss Hotel Management School, Switzerland.

The university broke into the Top 100 in the world for Art & Design, becoming Malaysia’s top university for the subject. It also rose further to #91 for Business and Management Studies, maintaining its place as the top private business school in Southeast Asia for three years straight.
