Overview of Bachelor in Taxation (Honours) in Universiti Tun Abdul Razak Malaysia

OVERVIEW

This is a programme that prepares you to provide tax advice and management services to individuals and corporations. It includes instruction in tax law and regulations, tax record systems, individual and corporate income tax, tax planning, partnerships and fiduciary relationships, estates and trusts, property depreciation, capital gains and losses, dispositions, transfers, liquidity, valuation, and applications to specific tax problems. MOUs with leading tax institutions such as the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) and the Malaysian Association of Tax Accountants (MATA) will lead to a programme that is jointly developed by academia and the industry experts, and that provides numerous tangible benefits to its graduates.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

STPM - A pass in STPM or its equivalent with minimum of grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any two subjects. Or

A Level - A Pass in A-level with a minimum of Gred D in any 2 Subjects. Or

STAM - A Pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid.

MATRICULATION: A Pass in Matriculation level, or Foundation, or Pre- University with a minimum of CGPA of 2.50 from an institution recognised by the Malaysian Govt. Or

UEC - A Pass UEC with a minimum grade B in Five (5) subjects.

DIPLOMA - A Diploma (Level 4 MQF)  in accounting or related fields with a minimum of CGPA 2.50. Or

IB - A Pass at the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma level with a minimum score of 30 points. 

OTHER - Equivalent Qualifications recognised by MQA/ Malaysian Government.

• Diploma Executive UM 

APEL (Accredition of Prior of Experential Learning)

INTRENATIONAL 

TOEFL 550 or its equivalent OR

IELTS band 5.5 or minimum Grade B2 (162) in First Cambridge English (FCE)

or MUET (MALAYSIAN UNIVERSITY ENGLISH TEST) Band 3

The validity period of TOEFL and IELTS is TWO (2) years from the date of the award Or Equivalent English Qualifications recognised by MQA/ Malaysian Government. 

The validity period of TOEFL and IELTS is TWO (2) years from the date of the award.
