Course Overview

This programme aims to develop well-rounded maritime services professionals who are knowledgeable, competent, and innovative, enabling them to contribute effectively to the growth of human capital within the maritime sector. Graduates are equipped with a strong understanding of maritime operations and industry practices, allowing them to function as effective liaisons between various stakeholders in the maritime-related industry. The curriculum emphasises both technical knowledge and professional development, ensuring graduates are prepared to meet the evolving demands of the global maritime environment. In addition to academic and industry-focused learning, the programme places strong emphasis on leadership development, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills. Students are trained to work collaboratively in diverse and dynamic environments, make informed decisions, and communicate effectively across different operational levels. Through this holistic approach, graduates are prepared to take on responsible roles, support operational efficiency, and contribute positively to organisational success within the maritime services industry.

Entry Requirements

For international students, it is compulsory to meet the minimum English language proficiency requirement by achieving the required score in at least one recognised assessment. Accepted qualifications include MUET with a minimum of Band 3, IELTS or IELTS Online with a score of 5.0, TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 40, or TOEFL Essential (Online) with a score of 7.5. Applicants may also submit the Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic or PTE Academic Online) with a minimum score of 47. Cambridge English qualifications, including B1 Preliminary, B2 First, C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency, or Linguaskill Online, are accepted with a minimum score of 154. Alternatively, completion of a Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP Level) with a minimum score of 107 is also recognised. Meeting any one of these requirements fulfils the English proficiency condition for admission.
