Course Overview
The Diploma in Geographic Information System Technology (GIST) focuses on the use of information technology to acquire, manage, analyse, interpret and visualise data within geographic, spatial and temporal contexts. The application of GIST in Malaysia is rapidly growing, particularly in areas such as environmental management, urban planning, forestry, healthcare and the petroleum industry. The programme enables students to identify patterns, relationships and trends through maps, reports, charts and other visual tools, allowing complex data to be easily understood and shared. Entry Requirements
Applicants must hold a recognised qualification such as SPM/SPMV, pre-diploma, UEC, STPM, STAM, Certificate (MQF Level 3), SKM Level 3 or APEL (A–T4) with the required credits or CGPA. International applicants must meet English proficiency requirements of MUET Band 3 or an equivalent CEFR Mid B1 qualification, or complete Geomatika’s English Programme if required.(Show More)
