Course Overview

The Diploma in Geomatics focuses on the science and technology of three-dimensional measurement, mapping and visualisation, a rapidly growing field within the global IT industry. Students gain exposure to modern surveying techniques such as GPS and face-to-face measurements, along with data collection, processing and map design. The programme is accredited by the Licensed Land Surveyors Board of Malaysia and fulfils the requirements for registration as a Licensed Land Surveyor in Malaysia, while graduates are also eligible for professional membership with the Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (ISM) and benefit from access to advanced surveying technologies, including satellite, ocean and terrestrial systems.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must hold a recognised qualification such as SPM/SPMV, O-Level, UEC, STPM, STAM, a relevant Certificate (MQF Level 3), SKM Level 3, or APEL (A–T4), with the required credits including Mathematics where applicable. International applicants must meet English proficiency requirements of MUET Band 3 or an equivalent CEFR Mid B1 qualification, or complete Geomatika’s English Programme if required.
