Course Overview

The Bachelor in Information Technology (Cyber Security) (Honours) focuses on protecting computers, networks, software and electronic data from unauthorised access, attacks and disruption. The programme is built around the core principles of cybersecurity—confidentiality, integrity and availability—and addresses the growing challenges posed by increasing internet reliance, wireless networks and smart devices within the Internet of Things (IoT). As cyber threats become more sophisticated, students are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to implement effective security measures and respond to the technological and organisational complexities of today’s digital world.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must hold a recognised qualification such as STPM, STAM, Matriculation/Foundation, Diploma (MQF Level 4) in Computing or Non-Computing fields, DKM/DVM/DLKM, UEC, APEL (T6), or an equivalent qualification approved by the Malaysian Government, with the required CGPA and a Mathematics background at SPM level (or completion of reinforcement Mathematics where applicable). International applicants must meet English proficiency requirements of MUET Band 3.5, IELTS or CEFR High B1, or complete Geomatika International’s English Programme if required.
