Overview of MBA in Oil and Gas Management in UCSI University Malaysia
This MBA is the only programme of its kind in Malaysia and one of the few in the world that can be pursued by learners from various backgrounds – technical, non-technical, and commercial. It equips learners with specific knowledge in the area of business administration with a focus on the management of the Oil and Gas industry and its related businesses. Its encompassing nature means that it can be pursued as a conversion course for those with a relevant degree, who intend to focus on the Oil and Gas industry. Alternatively, it can also be a means of enhancing relevant skills obtained at the first degree level – ideal for graduates who have completed their first degree in engineering, business administration, accounting, and so on.
The programme aims to develop the conceptual and empirical knowledge, analytical skills and understanding of the industry among learners. As a postgraduate programme, it empowers learners to enhance their management competencies to meet the challenges of the energy sector with intense marketplace competition. The programme adopts a multidisciplinary approach drawing modules from various specialist areas including petroleum contracts and economics, project management, renewable energy, risk management, environmental management, strategic and human resource management.
