Course Overview

Diploma in Manufacturing Technology with Honors was first offered in the July 2006/2007 session and has since received accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA/FA 9660). This full-time program is designed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in modern manufacturing technologies. The program spans two years, comprising four regular semesters and two short semesters, and includes a nine-week industrial training placement in manufacturing industries at the end of the study period. Teaching and learning are delivered through a combination of lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, presentations, and projects, ensuring students gain both theoretical understanding and hands-on experience. The industrial training component allows students to apply their skills in real-world settings, bridging academic knowledge with industry practices. Graduates of the program are well-prepared for careers in manufacturing, production management, and related technical fields, equipped with the skills, professionalism, and practical experience required to contribute effectively to the industry.

Entry Requirements

SPM Obtained at least Grade C in TWO (2) of the following subjects at the SPM level: Physics / Chemistry / Science / Additional Science / Engineering Drawing / Engineering Studies / Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Technical Graphics / Engineering Drawing AND Obtained at least Grade C in ONE (1) of the following subjects at the SPM level: Mathematics / Additional Mathematics AND Obtained at least Grade C in ONE (1) of the following subjects at the SPM level: Islamic Education / Moral Education / Geography / Principles of Accounting /Economics / Usul Al-Din / Al-Syariah / Manahij Al-Ulum Al-Islamiah /Al-Adab Wa Al-Balaghah / Hifz Al-Quran / Maharat Al-Quran /Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah (Islamic Syariah Education) / Pendidikan Al-Quran dan Al-Sunnah (Quran and Sunnah Education) /Tasawwur Islam AND Obtained at least Grade D in English subject STPM Passed STPM or equivalent with a minimum of Grade C (CGPA 2.00) AND Passed Mathematics and English Language at the SPM or equivalent level AND Passed ONE (1) Science / Technical / Vocational-related subject at the SPM or equivalent level CERTIFICATE (SIJIL) Possesses a Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology (Level 3 MQF) or equivalent SKM Possesses a Vocational and Technical / Skills Certificate recognised as equivalent, with at least ONE (1) year of working experience in a related field or completion of ONE (1) semester in a bridging programme APEL.A Passed the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL.A) assessment for admission purposes conducted by MQA
