Course Overview

Bachelor of Nursing Science with Honours is a professional healthcare programme designed to develop competent, ethical, and high-quality nursing practitioners capable of meeting the demands of modern healthcare services. The programme supports the university’s vision of becoming a university of global choice and aligns with the nation’s aspiration for sustainable, high-quality healthcare. First offered in the October 2021/2022 academic session, the programme has received Provisional Accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA/PA12393). It is offered as a full-time programme with a study duration of four years, structured over eight semesters that integrate theoretical knowledge with extensive clinical placement. Teaching and learning activities include lectures, tutorials, lecture demonstrations, skills laboratory practical sessions, presentations, projects, clinical teaching, and supervised clinical placements. This comprehensive approach ensures graduates are well prepared with strong clinical competence, professional values, and lifelong learning skills for effective nursing practice.

Entry Requirements

A pass in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or an equivalent qualification, with honours in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia (July Paper). A pass in the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.33. A minimum of Grade C+ in two (2) science-related subjects at the STPM level, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics (M) / Mathematics (T). A minimum of Grade C (2.00) at the SPM level in Biology or Science, Mathematics, and two (2) other subjects, excluding Bahasa Melayu. A pass in English Language, with a minimum MUET Band 2. Applicants must be physically fit, with no physical disabilities, speech impairment, blindness, deafness, or muteness that may affect programme requirements. Applicants must pass the interview conducted by the institution.
