Course Overview

Bachelor of Computer Science (Internet of Things Technology) with Honours is a three-year programme designed to meet the demands of the digital era and the rapid growth of Industry 4.0, delivered through the innovative 2u1i mode where students spend two years at university building strong academic and technical foundations, followed by one full year of industry immersion. This structure effectively bridges theory and practice, ensuring graduates are industry-ready upon completion. The curriculum covers key areas such as embedded systems, electronics, robotics, wireless sensor networks, cloud computing, mobile and web technologies, cybersecurity, data analytics, and artificial intelligence for IoT applications, supported by laboratory work, work-based learning, and a capstone project. Beyond technical expertise, the programme emphasises critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and ethical professionalism. Graduates are well prepared for careers as IoT systems engineers, embedded systems developers, cloud and IoT integration specialists, data analysts, network and security engineers, and R&D professionals, with the adaptability to drive digital transformation across sectors such as smart cities, healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, and transportation.

Entry Requirements

A minimum CGPA of 2.75 in STPM / A-Levels / 12th Class, and an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) / IELTS Online score of 5.5.
