Course Overview

Bachelor of Arabic Language and Education programme offered by the Faculty of Language and Communication (FBK), Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) is designed to produce graduates who are proficient in Arabic language mastery and capable of applying pedagogical knowledge effectively and professionally. The programme integrates Arabic linguistics, literature, translation, communication, and teaching methodologies, supported by project-based learning, authentic language use, educational technology, and structured teaching practice in schools. It aims to meet national and global demands by preparing qualified teachers, language scholars, and professionals who can function confidently within Arabic and Islamic educational contexts. Beyond education, graduates are equipped with skills relevant to careers in diplomacy, international business, media, communication, translation, and creative industries, with added industry exposure in administration, culture, discourse, and translation enhancing their competitiveness in the global job market.

Entry Requirements

A minimum CGPA of 2.75 in STPM / A-Levels / 12th Class, and an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) / IELTS Online score of 5.5.
