Description of Bachelor of Nursing in Malaysia
Undergraduate
Bachelor of Nursing (Hons.) is an undergraduate degree programme offered by Kulliyyah of Nursing, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). This programme has been designed to prepare nurses for entry-level professional practice and, at the same time provide a strong basis for postgraduate study.
Programme Description
The programme is of four (4) years duration and incorporates a substantial amount of guided clinical practice in hospitals and health care settings as well as a range of campus-based theoretical and clinical-based teaching/learning activities

|
1. A minimum CGPA of 3.0 for STPM; and 2. A minimum of:
3. A minimum of 6C/C for any of subjects below for SPM:
4. A satisfactory standard of health. 5. Pass the interview. 6. Pass English Placement Test (EPT) conducted by IIUM at least band 6. |
MATRICULATION/FOUNDATION
1. A minimum CGPA of 2.50 for matriculation/STPM; and
2. A minimum of:
- MUET - Band 3
- English for SPM - 8E/E; and
3. A minimum of 6C/C for any of subjects below for SPM:
- Pendidikan Islam / Tasawwur Islam / Pendidikan al-Quran & as-Sunnah / Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah
- Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
- Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Biology
4. A satisfactory standard of health.
5. Pass the interview.
6. Pass English Placement Test (EPT) conducted by IIUM at least band 6.
DIPLOMA
1. A minimum CGPA of 2.50 for Diploma of Nursing(*), registered with Nursing Board of Malaysia (LJM), and have Annual Practicing Certificate (APC);
OR
A minimum CGPA of 2.50 for any Diploma; and
2. A minimum of pass in English for SPM; or Band 3 in MUET; and
3. A minimum of 6C/C for any of subjects below for SPM:
- Pendidikan Islam / Tasawwur Islam / Pendidikan al-Quran & as-Sunnah / Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah
- Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
- Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Biology
- any two of other subjects
4. A satisfactory standard of health.
5. Pass the interview.
6. Pass English Placement Test (EPT) conducted by IIUM at least band 6.
