Bachelor of Nursing (Hons.) is an undergraduate degree programme offered by Kulliyyah of Nursing, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). This programme has been designed to prepare nurses for entry-level professional practice and, at the same time provide a strong basis for postgraduate study.

Programme Description

The programme is of four (4) years duration and incorporates a substantial amount of guided clinical practice in hospitals and health care settings as well as a range of campus-based theoretical and clinical-based teaching/learning activities

Entry Requirements of Bachelor of Nursing in International Islamic University of Malaysia Malaysia

STPM

MATRICULATION/FOUNDATION

1. A minimum CGPA of 2.50 for matriculation/STPM; and

2. A minimum of:

• MUET - Band 3
• English for SPM - 8E/E; and

3. A minimum of 6C/C for any of subjects below for SPM:

• Pendidikan Islam / Tasawwur Islam / Pendidikan al-Quran & as-Sunnah / Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah
• Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
• Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Biology

4. A satisfactory standard of health.

5. Pass the interview.

6. Pass English Placement Test (EPT) conducted by IIUM at least band 6.

DIPLOMA

1. A minimum CGPA of 2.50 for Diploma of Nursing(*), registered with Nursing Board of Malaysia (LJM), and have Annual Practicing Certificate (APC);

OR

A minimum CGPA of 2.50 for any Diploma; and

2. A minimum of pass in English for SPM; or Band 3 in MUET; and

3. A minimum of 6C/C for any of subjects below for SPM:

• Pendidikan Islam / Tasawwur Islam / Pendidikan al-Quran & as-Sunnah / Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah
• Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
• Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Biology
• any two of other subjects

4. A satisfactory standard of health.

5. Pass the interview.

6. Pass English Placement Test (EPT) conducted by IIUM at least band 6.

NOTE: * Allowed for credit transfer up to 30% of the total credits offered.
