Course Overview

Curtin Malaysia’s Diploma of Commerce is designed to equip students with practical business knowledge and essential skills that enhance employability and support long-term career success. The program develops strong business fundamentals across key disciplines such as economics, accounting, finance, marketing, management, and business technology, while also strengthening communication, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities. Upon successful completion, students may receive advanced standing into undergraduate programs, including the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Business Administration at Curtin Malaysia. In the first year, students build a solid academic foundation through English language development, critical thinking, and core business subjects such as accounting, economics, marketing, management, statistics, and technology. The second year focuses on value creation in business, with an emphasis on financial decision-making, business intelligence, data analysis, and real-world case studies. The program concludes with industrial training, providing hands-on industry exposure and preparing students to confidently meet future professional challenges.

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements Applicants must meet the minimum academic entry requirements based on their highest qualification. For SPM, candidates are required to obtain at least three credits, including English. Applicants with STPM must achieve a minimum Grade C with a CGPA of 2.0 in any subject. Those holding GCE O’ Level qualifications must obtain at least three credits. UEC applicants are required to achieve B4 in three relevant academic subjects, including English. Minimum English Language Entry Requirements Applicants must also demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the accepted qualifications. This includes an overall IELTS score of 5.0 with a minimum of 5.0 in all bands, a TOEFL score of 42, or a PTE Academic score of 36. Linguaskill applicants must obtain a total score of at least 154, with no individual score below 147. Alternatively, applicants may qualify with a grade C in SPM English, a grade D in IGCSE/GCE O’ Level English, MUET Band 3.5 with a minimum aggregate score of 188, or UEC English at B4 level.
