Course Overview

Diploma in Hotel Management (Work-Based Learning – WBL) is a seven-semester programme, equivalent to two years and six months of study. This programme is specially structured around the work-based learning (WBL) concept, enabling students to gain real industry exposure while continuing their academic education. Through this approach, students are directly involved in hotel operations and the broader hospitality industry throughout the duration of the programme. The WBL framework allows students to apply theoretical knowledge in real hotel environments, enhancing their practical understanding of hospitality management. At the same time, students develop essential workplace skills, professional discipline, and service excellence. Gaining hands-on experience during their studies helps students build a strong professional profile and significantly improves their employability. Upon graduation, students are well-prepared to meet industry demands and possess higher market value in the competitive hotel and hospitality sector.

Entry Requirements

Possess in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia SPM with at least credit in THREE subjects,OR A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM with at least Grade CIGP 2.00 in any subject,OR A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia ISTAMI with at least grade Magbul:OR A pass Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia ISKM Level 3 Malaysian Qualifications Frameworks, MOF) in A Certificate Level MOF) in the related field with at least CGPA of 2.00;OR Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government
