Course Overview

Computing practitioners are expected to provide effective computing solutions for non-routine problems by applying appropriate disciplinary knowledge and technical skills in accordance with industry requirements. They should also demonstrate leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills that enable them to communicate and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. In addition, computing practitioners are required to engage in lifelong learning and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset to support continuous self-improvement and career development in a rapidly evolving field. Entry Requirements

Applicants must satisfy one of the following entry requirements. Candidates may be admitted with a pass in a Matriculation or Foundation programme, or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00, and a Credit at SPM level or its equivalent in either Additional Mathematics, or Mathematics together with one Science, Technology, or Engineering (STEM) subject. STEM subjects include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Computer Science, and Pure Science. Alternatively, applicants may qualify with a pass in STPM (Science Stream) or an equivalent qualification with a minimum Grade C, achieving a CGPA of 2.00, or 3.0 (or 3.3 for applicants from Nigeria, Yemen, Sudan, or Afghanistan), in Mathematics and one Science or ICT subject. Diploma holders may be considered if they possess a Level 4 MQF Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or 2.8, or any Diploma in Science and Technology with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (or 3.3 for the specified countries). In addition, local students must achieve MUET Band 2.0, while international students must obtain MUET Band 3.0 or IELTS 5.0, or an equivalent qualification.
