Overview of Master of Engineering (MEng) (Civil) in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia
The aim of Master of Engineering (Civil) program at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia is to provide opportunity for students to develop their knowledge and skills in solving civil engineering problems in general. The courses offered cover structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydraulics and hydrology, transportation and highway, environmental engineering and construction management. Students are trained in conducting research project in any field in civil engineering.
Credit Requirements
A student must complete 46 credit hours for graduation. It is offered in taught course only. It consists of:
University General Elective Course

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
Students are required to take all core courses (Total: 18 Credits)
Elective Courses
Choose any two from the following list AND two other courses from other programmes OR from the list (Total: 12 Credits)
Masters Project
Take these two courses. (Total: 10 Credits)
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should hold a good bachelor degree in civil engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia or equivalent. A lower grade degree with working experience will also be considered for admission.
