The degree Chemical Engineering programme is designed to equip students with a sound understanding of fundamental theories and concepts in chemical engineering, primarily the knowledge to transform raw materials into useful products efficiently and safely, with minimal environmental impact.
PRIMARY MAJOR
This component consists of Common Core subjects, which are common modules across a discipline that provides the fundamental knowledge of the discipline.

This component aims to develop critical thinking, build up social intelligence and cultivate civic responsibility as well as broaden cultural knowledge. These consist of compulsory and nationally-mandated study modules required by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education.
The Flexible Education component provides student the flexibility to study modules in a related or unrelated field from the same or different school to complement the Primary Major. It may be completed in a form of free electives, an extension, minors or a second major that typically requires at least one (1) semester of student learning time.

PREREQUISITES
Pass SPM / O-Level or equivalent with 5 credits for entry with Pre-University/Foundation qualification
Pass SPM / O-Level or equivalent with 3 credits for entry with Diploma qualification
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Pass with min. CGPA 2.00
Pass with min. CGPA 2.00 (only applicable to Engineering Science option)
CC with min. CGPA 2.00 including Mathematics and Physics / Chemistry
Pass with 5Bs including Mathematics and Physics / Chemistry
Min. EEE / equivalent of 120 points including Mathematics and Physics / Chemistry
ATAR 65 including Mathematics (preferably Specialist Mathematics) and Physics / Chemistry
Min. average of 60% in 6 subjects including Advanced Functions, Calculus & Vectors and Physics / Chemistry
Min. 24 points in 6 subjects including Mathematics and Physics / Chemistry
Min. 200/400 including Physics A&B / Chemistry A&B and Mathematics A&B
Students with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis
